PEG(-N3)-b-PNIPAM is a block copolymer that combines a polyethylene glycol (PEG) segment with a poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM) segment, where PEG is terminated with an azide group. This compound can form hydrogels that respond to temperature changes. These hydrogels can be used for controlled drug release, tissue engineering scaffolds, or responsive matrices for cell growth. It can also self-assemble into nanoparticles or nanostructures with temperature-sensitive properties.
