Description

P(HDCA-co-N3PEGCA) is a copolymer consisting of two monomers: hydroxydecanoic acid (HDCA) and azide-functionalized PEGylated carboxylic acid (N3PEGCA). Hydroxydecanoic Acid (HDCA) is a fatty acid with a hydroxyl group, used in the synthesis of polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs). It contributes to the hydrophobic properties and biodegradability of the copolymer. The copolymer can be used in biomedical implants where both hydrophobic and hydrophilic properties are beneficial. The azide group enables surface modification or functionalization of the implants for improved biocompatibility and performance.
