Description

PKC ζ substrate-Biotinylated refers to a peptide or protein substrate for Protein Kinase C zeta (PKC ζ) that is conjugated with a biotin tag. PKC ζ is involved in various cellular processes, including cell growth, differentiation, and survival. The substrate is selected based on its ability to be specifically phosphorylated by PKC ζ. The biotinylated PKC ζ substrate is used to measure PKC ζ enzyme activity. The substrate is incubated with PKC ζ in the presence of ATP, and phosphorylation of the substrate can be detected using streptavidin-based methods, such as ELISA or Western blotting. Additionally, the biotinylated PKC ζ substrate can be used to screen for inhibitors of PKC ζ activity. By assessing the effect of potential inhibitors on substrate phosphorylation, researchers can identify compounds that modulate PKC ζ activity.
