Description

Plain Natural Egg PC Liposomes, Lyophilized Powder are derived from egg yolk phosphatidylcholine, which contains a mixture of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids, which can contribute to greater fluidity and stability of the liposomal membranes. Egg PC liposomes are used as non-viral vectors for gene delivery. By encapsulating plasmid DNA, RNA, or siRNA, they can facilitate the delivery of genetic material into cells. Their ability to protect genetic material from degradation and their relatively low toxicity make them ideal candidates for gene therapy applications. For brain-targeted gene delivery, modifications such as surface functionalization with targeting ligands can be employed.
