Plain Saturated 16:0 PC (DPPC) Liposomes, Lyophilized Powder are employed as drug carriers in targeted cancer therapies, where chemotherapeutic agents are encapsulated within the liposome to selectively deliver the drug to tumor cells. By incorporating targeting ligands on the liposomal surface, DPPC liposomes can selectively interact with cancer cells, improving the therapeutic index and reducing systemic toxicity. These liposomes are also used in the delivery of anti-inflammatory drugs and topical antibiotics, providing controlled release for improved skin treatment.
