Poly-L-lysine-Coated Superparamagnetic Nanoparticles (SPIONs-PLL, PLL Coated Iron Oxide (II,III), Fe3O4, Magnetite) are prepared and used as a novel-carrier for the transfer of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) into neural stem cells (NSCs) under the beneficial influence of an external magnetic field. They can serve as a novel alternative for the transfection of BDNF-NSCs and could be used in gene therapy.
