Description

Poly-L-lysine hydrochloride biotin (Biotinylated poly-L-lysine hydrochloride, PLL-biotin) is used to coat tissue culture surfaces to enhance cell adhesion and proliferation. The biotin moiety allows for subsequent binding to streptavidin-coated substrates, facilitating immobilization of biotinylated molecules such as proteins or nucleic acids. In addition, the conjugation of biotin to PLL enables specific immobilization of biotinylated biomolecules onto surfaces or matrices. This is valuable in biosensor development, diagnostic assays, and protein purification techniques that utilize streptavidin-biotin interactions.
