This arrangement results in polymers with desirable optoelectronic properties, such as high electron affinity, low bandgap, and good charge transport characteristics. Applications of PBTDF-BT and similar conjugated polymers include organic photovoltaic (OPV) devices, organic field-effect transistors (OFETs), light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), and organic photodetectors.
