Description

Poly(iso-butyl methacrylate) is a polymer composed of repeating units of iso-butyl methacrylate monomers. The chemical structure of iBMA consists of a methacrylate group (CH2=C(CH3)COO) attached to an iso-butyl side chain. Polymerization of iBMA monomers leads to the formation of long-chain poly(iso-butyl methacrylate) molecules. PiBMA is used as a coating material for various substrates due to its excellent adhesion, weather resistance, and durability. It is commonly employed in automotive coatings, architectural coatings, and protective coatings for metal surfaces.
