Poly(L-glutamic acid) is a water-soluble, biodegradable polymer composed of repeating units derived from the amino acid L-glutamic acid. The addition of azide groups provides reactive sites that can participate in copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne click chemistry or other azide-specific reactions.
