Description

Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide), azide terminate (Azide-terminated poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) / N3-PNIPAM / Azide PolyNIPAM) is polymer with temperature-sensitive properties and reactive azide groups. PNIPAAm’s LCST allows it to act as a temperature-sensitive carrier. Below its LCST, the polymer remains soluble and can encapsulate drugs. Above the LCST, it becomes hydrophobic and can release the drugs, enabling controlled release based on temperature. In addition, the azide-terminated PNIPAAm can be used as a platform for click chemistry, allowing the attachment of various functional groups or molecules. This modularity enables the creation of complex polymers with tailored properties.
