Poly(N,N-diisopropylaminoethyl methacrylate) has been investigated for biomedical imaging applications. By encapsulating imaging agents such as fluorescent dyes or magnetic nanoparticles, PDPAEMA nanoparticles can be used for fluorescence imaging, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and other imaging modalities. The pH-responsive behavior of PDPAEMA nanoparticles can enable selective imaging of acidic tumor microenvironments.
