Poly(sec-butyl methacrylate) is used in microelectronics for applications such as photoresists and dielectric materials due to its compatibility with lithographic processes and insulating properties. In addition, the pendant butyl groups in PSBMA chains can be functionalized to introduce specific surface properties, such as hydrophilicity or hydrophobicity, through chemical modification.
