Description

Poly(styrene), α,ω-bis-hydrogen-terminated can serve as a precursor for the synthesis of modified polymers. The hydrogen-terminated ends can be functionalized or reacted with other compounds to introduce desired properties or functionalities into the polymer. Besides, the hydrogen-terminated ends of poly(styrene) can also be used for compatibilizing polymer blends or composites. By reacting with functional groups present in other polymers, the poly(styrene) chains can improve the compatibility between different phases, leading to enhanced mechanical properties and phase stability in the resulting materials.
