Positively DOTAP-Based Fluorescent Liposome, NBD lipid (fatty acid tail) Labeled refers to a liposomal nanoparticle system primarily composed of cationic DOTAP lipids which are labeled with a fluorescent label consisting of an NBD (7-nitrobenz-2-oxa-1,3-diazole) moiety attached to the fatty acid tail of a lipid. These liposomes can be employed to investigate interactions between liposomes and cellular membranes or other liposomal membranes. It is useful for studying fusion processes and membrane dynamics.
