Description

Progesterone-3-biotinyl Photoaffinity Probe (P4, P4 Binding Probe) is a specially designed molecule that combines a progesterone derivative with a biotin tag and a photoactivatable group. This probe is used to study the interactions and binding sites of progesterone receptors and other progesterone-binding proteins. The photoaffinity component allows for covalent binding to the target upon activation by light, while the biotin tag facilitates detection and purification through streptavidin-based methods. The photoaffinity probe can be used to map the binding sites of progesterone receptors by covalently linking to the receptor upon UV light activation.
