Description

Propargyl-PEG4-Maleimide has a propargyl group and a maleimide group. The propargyl group can participate in click chemistry reactions, such as copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC). This can be used for the conjugation of the molecule to azide-containing entities, providing a versatile method for bioconjugation. The maleimide group is well-known for its reactivity with thiol groups (-SH) in biomolecules such as proteins and peptides. This enables selective bioconjugation, allowing the attachment of the molecule to thiol-containing biomolecules for labeling or functionalization.
