Description

PtBA-b-PGMA (poly(tert-butyl acrylate)-block-poly(glycidyl methacrylate)) is useful in material science, biomedical applications, chemical synthesis, environmental remediation, and advanced manufacturing. PtBA is often used to impart hydrophobicity, flexibility, and good mechanical properties to polymers. The tert-butyl ester groups can be deprotected to yield poly(acrylic acid) (PAA), which adds functionality. PGMA is versatile due to its epoxy groups, which can be used for cross-linking, functionalization, or further polymerization. It often provides a hydrophilic character to the block copolymer.
