Description

RGDyK-Tz (RGDyK-tetrazine) can be used to functionalize nanoparticles with targeting capabilities. The RGD peptide directs the nanoparticles to integrin-expressing cells, and the tetrazine moiety can be used to attach therapeutic agents, imaging probes, or other functionalities. In addition, RGD peptide sequences are known for their specificity in targeting integrins, which are overexpressed in many cancers and other pathological conditions. The tetrazine moiety allows for bioorthogonal labeling with strained alkyne-containing biomolecules, enabling precise imaging and targeting of integrin-expressing cells. The RGD sequence ensures that the labeling is specific to cells that express integrins.
