Description

SH-PEG-GAS (Thiol-PEG-Glutaramide Succinimidyl Ester) is a bioconjugation reagent that consists of a thiol group, a polyethylene glycol (PEG) linker, and a glutaramide succinimidyl ester group. PEG is commonly used in bioconjugation to modify and enhance the solubility of biomolecules, reduce immunogenicity, and increase circulation time in vivo. The glutaramide succinimidyl ester group is a reactive ester that can react with primary amines on proteins or peptides, forming stable amide bonds. This reaction is commonly used in bioconjugation to couple PEG to molecules containing amino groups. The thiol group is reactive towards other functional groups, such as esters or other groups that undergo thiol-specific reactions in bioconjugation.
