SH-PEG-RGD (Thiol-PEG-ARG-GLY-ASP) is a bioconjugation reagent that combines a thiol group (SH), a polyethylene glycol (PEG) linker, and the RGD peptide motif. RGD stands for Arginine-Glycine-Aspartic Acid, which is a well-known peptide motif that specifically binds to integrin receptors on the surface of cells. Integrins are cell adhesion receptors, and the RGD sequence is recognized by these receptors, facilitating cell adhesion.
