Spiro-OMeTAD, short for 2,2′,7,7′-Tetrakis[N,N-di(4-methoxyphenyl)amino]-9,9′-spirobifluorene, is a hole-transport material (HTM) widely used in organic photovoltaic devices, particularly in perovskite solar cells. Spiro-OMeTAD is most commonly used as a hole-transport material in perovskite solar cells. In these devices, it facilitates the extraction and transport of holes generated in the perovskite absorber layer to the electrode, thereby contributing to the overall photovoltaic conversion efficiency.
