Description

Stearic Acid-PEG-Maleimide (Stearic Acid-PEG-MAL, STA-PEG-MAL, SA-PEG-MAL) can be used to prepare micelles or nanoparticles which have maleimide on the surface for bioconjugation. PEGylated stearyl (stearic acid-MPEG) is an amphiphilic, PEG surfactant and can be used to form micelles, drug delivery systems to enhance drug solubility and improve drug formulation and bioavailability. PEG is attached to the C18 alkyl ( octadecanoic acid) through an amide bond.
