Description

t-Boc-Aminooxy-PEG8-alcohol is useful for applications requiring precise spatiotemporal manipulation of biomolecular interactions, such as in live-cell imaging or controlled drug release systems due to its ability to selectively deprotect the aminooxy group enables temporal control over bioconjugation reactions. The tert-butyloxycarbonyl (t-Boc) protective group on the aminooxy moiety can be removed under mild acidic conditions. This allows for the liberation of the free aminooxy group, which can then react with aldehydes or ketones to form oxime bonds.
