Description

t-Boc-N-amido-PEG3-sulfonic acid is a PEG linker containing a t-Boc protected amine group and a sulfonic acid. T-Boc is a protecting group commonly used in organic synthesis to protect amine groups. It prevents unwanted reactions with other reagents and helps in controlling the specificity of reactions involving amines. The sulfonic acid functional group (–SO3H) is highly acidic and polar. It can serve as a strong acid catalyst or a reactive site for chemical modifications. Sulfonic acids are also used in ion exchange resins and as catalysts in organic synthesis.
