Description

[Tc-99m]HYNIC-PEG(11)-Tz is designed for nuclear medicine applications, particularly SPECT imaging. Technetium-99m is a widely used radioisotope in nuclear medicine due to its favorable physical properties, including a short half-life of about 6 hours and the emission of gamma photons suitable for Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) imaging. Its gamma emission at 140 keV is ideal for medical imaging, providing good resolution with minimal radiation dose to the patient. HYNIC is a bifunctional chelating agent that forms stable complexes with technetium-99m. It is frequently used in radiopharmaceuticals for SPECT imaging due to its ability to securely bind the radioactive metal while allowing for the attachment of various targeting moieties or bioactive molecules.
