Description

TCO-PEG2-amine refers to a compound consisting of three main components: trans-cyclooctene (TCO), a polyethylene glycol (PEG) linker, and an amine functional group. TCO is a strained alkene that undergoes a rapid and selective reaction with tetrazines, forming a stable cycloadduct. This reaction, known as the TCO-tetrazine ligation, is bioorthogonal and widely used in chemical biology for labeling, imaging, drug delivery, and other applications. The amine group serves as a reactive site for further conjugation reactions or for attachment to biomolecules, surfaces, or nanoparticles.
