Description

TCO-PEG3-Biotin can be used for affinity purification of TCO-tagged proteins or biomolecules using streptavidin-coated beads or surfaces. This is particularly useful for isolating specific protein complexes or studying protein-protein interactions. TCO is a strained, cyclic alkene that is widely used in bioorthogonal chemistry. It reacts specifically and rapidly with tetrazines through a bioorthogonal inverse-electron-demand Diels-Alder (IEDDA) reaction. This reaction is highly selective and does not interfere with biological systems, making TCO an ideal handle for conjugation in live cells or organisms.
