Description

TCO-PEG4-maleimide is a compound composed of trans-cyclooctene (TCO), a polyethylene glycol (PEG) linker, and a maleimide functional group. It is commonly used for site-specific labeling and bioconjugation of biomolecules. The maleimide group reacts selectively with thiol (-SH) groups present in cysteine residues of proteins, peptides, or other thiol-containing molecules.
