TEOAS (Triethoxy(acetenyl)silane) is an organosilane compound which features an acetylene group attached to a silicon atom that is further bonded to three ethoxy groups. The acetylene group is highly reactive and can participate in click chemistry and other chemical modifications. The ethoxy groups can hydrolyze to form silanol groups, allowing the compound to form strong covalent bonds with surfaces or other materials. The compound can be used in adhesives and coatings to improve adhesion to various surfaces due to the silane’s ability to bond with the substrate and the reactivity of the acetylene group.
