Description

Tetrazine-PEG4-biotin can be used to modify genetically encoded proteins or peptides with biotin tags. This enables downstream applications such as affinity purification, protein detection, or targeted delivery of functional payloads. Tetrazine is a heterocyclic compound known for its high reactivity in bioorthogonal chemistry. Specifically, it reacts with strained alkenes (such as trans-cyclooctenes or norbornenes) through an inverse-electron-demand Diels-Alder (IEDDA) reaction. This reaction is highly specific and rapid under physiological conditions, making tetrazine an ideal handle for selective bioconjugation.
