Tz-PROTACs (Tetrazine-modified PROTACs) are a class of chemical compounds that integrate tetrazine groups into PROTAC (PROteolysis TArgeting Chimeras) structures. PROTACs are molecules that bring together a target protein and an E3 ubiquitin ligase, facilitating the ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of the target protein. They are valuable tools in drug discovery and development for targeting previously “undruggable” proteins. Tz-PROTACs can be used to develop and refine new bioorthogonal chemistry techniques, expanding the capabilities of PROTACs and bioorthogonal labeling in chemical biology.
