UDP-HTz-NAM (UDP-HTz-N-acetylmuramic acid) is a compound that combines a tetrazine moiety with UDP (uridine diphosphate) and N-acetylmuramic acid (NAM). UDP-HTz-NAM can be used to study glycosylation processes in bacteria. The UDP component provides a sugar donor, while NAM serves as a substrate or product in peptidoglycan biosynthesis. In addition, the NAM component allows the compound to interact with bacterial cell wall synthesis pathways. It can be used to study how cell wall components are synthesized and assembled.
