Ultrathin Nitrogen-Doped Porous Carbon Nanospheres Coated With Polyaniline Nanorods exhibit excellent performance in supercapacitors due to their high surface area, good conductivity, and the ability to store charge effectively. The nitrogen-doped carbon provides active sites for charge storage, while the PANI coating helps with fast charge/discharge cycles. Due to the nitrogen doping and the conductive nature of the material, these nanomaterials are also excellent candidates for catalysis applications. They can be used in fuel cells for reactions such as oxygen reduction or hydrogen evolution, where the nitrogen atoms act as active sites for facilitating the reactions.
