Description

Vinylsulfone-PEG-Fluorescein (VS-PEG-FITC) is used in bioconjugation experiments, enabling researchers to selectively label and modify proteins containing cysteine residues. The vinylsulfone group reacts specifically with thiol groups (-SH) on cysteine residues, allowing for the covalent attachment of the VS-PEG-FITC compound to the protein. VS-PEG-FITC-labeled proteins can be detected and quantified using fluorescence-based techniques, including fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry.
