Description

12:0 PA (DLPA) or 1,2-dilauroyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphate (sodium salt) is a sodium salt of modified lipid, where C-1, C-2 of glycerol is substituted with didodecanoyl and C-3 of glycerol is substituted with phosphatidic acid group. 12:0 PA can be used for the evaluation of the role of PAs in micelles, liposomes and artificial membranes. By acting as an internal lipid standard, it can be used in the analysis of matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (MALDI FT-ICR MS). The other applications of 12:0 PA are the qualification of phospholipids by HPLC/ESI-MS/MS and the analysis of liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). This product is available in powder.
