Description

Azido-mono-amide-DOTA-tris(t-Bu ester) (1,4,7,10-Tetraazacyclododecane-1,4,7-tris-tert-butyl acetate-10-(azidopropyl ethylacetamide)) can be used for bioconjugation reactions via click chemistry. The azido group can react selectively with alkynes functionalized on other molecules, such as peptides, proteins, or nanoparticles. This allows for the site-specific conjugation of DOTA-containing molecules to targeting ligands, imaging agents, or therapeutic molecules. The tert-butyl ester protecting groups shield the carboxylates from unwanted reactions during peptide synthesis. They can be removed under mild acidic conditions (e.g., trifluoroacetic acid, TFA) to reveal the carboxylate groups for metal chelation or further conjugation reactions.
