PEG 2000-Coated Fe3O4 Nanoparticles (Polyethylene Glycol-Functionalized Fe3O4 Nanoparticles) are magnetic nanoparticles where the surface is modified with polyethylene glycol (PEG) chains. When subjected to an alternating magnetic field, PEG-functionalized Fe3O4 nanoparticles can generate localized heat through magnetic hyperthermia. This property can be exploited for cancer therapy by selectively heating and destroying cancer cells while minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissues.
