Description

Ti3C2Tx Au Nanoparticles are composite nanoparticles composed of two main components: titanium carbide (Ti3C2Tx) and gold (Au). Ti3C2Tx belongs to a class of materials known as MXenes, which are two-dimensional transition metal carbides or nitrides. Ti3C2Tx is synthesized by selectively etching aluminum from layered ternary carbide Ti3AlC2. The resulting material consists of thin nanosheets with a high surface area and various surface terminations, denoted as Tx, which can include hydroxyl, oxygen, or fluorine functional groups. Gold nanoparticles are nanoscale particles of gold with sizes typically ranging from 1 to 100 nanometers. They exhibit unique optical, electronic, and catalytic properties due to their small size and high surface-to-volume ratio. Gold nanoparticles can be synthesized in various shapes, including spheres, rods, and triangles, and functionalized with different ligands or biomolecules.
